My buddy Dylan just came by the shop and showed me his new dirt touring rig, a bike he picked up from Rick Hunter.
It’s a longtail design, similar to an xtracycle style bike. Dylan says there is enough room on the rack to stack two panniers on each side.
Suicide front shifter is really cool.
Front suspension for those rough trails.
A really special machine for a good guy!
Also, there will be a going away party for the Pushing the Pedals Himalayan Bicycle Tour 2011 on August 7 at an as of yet undisclosed location. More details to come for sure! Mark your calendars!

Sweet ride Dylan! Love the seat tube suicide shifter!
Nice! What is the reason for the suicide shifter being on the seat tube vs. on the handle bars?
I’m intrigued by the front deurailer suicide shifter. I did a poor-man’s conversion on my Big Dummy last night. Used a thumb shifter. I love that it simplifies cable routing. Will give it a couple days to see how I like it on the go.
